WordPress.com is looking for an experienced marketing manager to create, implement, and refine paid media strategies to acquire, convert, and monetize customers. This candidate should have deep knowledge in the digital marketing space, have hands-on experience optimizing multi-million dollar SEM campaigns, and possess strong analytics, project management, and analytics skills.
Responsibilities:
- Acquiring incremental customers within desired cost guardrails.
- Improving conversion rate through funnel optimization and message testing.
- Optimizing paid media channel performance.
- Discovering new sources of growth by testing into new paid media channels, campaigns, audiences, and/or regions.
- Reporting and analytics: utilizing data in order to inform strategic marketing decisions.
Requirements:
You’re a great fit for this role because you are an expert at the following:
- Marketing Strategy: Understanding the levers of a scaling business. You’re able to identify and analyze key metrics and prioritize strategies to escalate growth in new users and paid conversions.
- Paid Media Channel Expertise: Developing and scaling paid and organic campaigns across any channel, including SEM, paid social, video, and display. You’re excited to test into new channels and new technologies to find growth. Experience managing Adwords, Facebook Ads, and other global digital media channels with multimillion dollar budgets.
- Analytical Capabilities: You will report out on the performance, measure attribution, measure estimated vs. actualized impact, and overall incremental impact to the WordPress.com business.
- Communication: Ability to express complicated concepts in an easy to understand method, with excellent written, oral, and illustrative communication styles. Listens to and considers alternative perspectives to identify the optimal path forward. Experience writing compelling copy for landing pages, ads, and/or emails.
- Nice to have: Understanding and knowledge of the WordPress ecosystem is a plus, including but not limited to having built websites on the WordPress platform, being a member of the WordPress community, and/or understanding the various products and tools within the Automattic portfolio.
Salary range: $100,000-$150,000 USD – Please note that salary ranges are global, regardless of location, and we pay in local currency.
