Yembo is a remote-first, Series A funded business headquartered in San Diego on a mission to bring trust and transparency to home service companies. Yembo’s AI uses smartphone videos to build an on-demand digital replica of each property that will immediately answer the questions – how many furniture items need to be moved, what is the square footage of the room, what type of material is the home built out of, etc. There are 100 million+ properties in the USA alone, requiring millions of inspections for all sorts of home services like moving, insurance underwriting, insurance claims handling, mortgage, flooring renovations, and we want Yembo to be the category-defining company that virtualizes inspections for these industries.

About You

Yembo is gearing up for a transformative year across the full business! We’re seeking an experienced VP of Sales to help scale the business across several verticals – initially starting with moving and insurance. Reporting directly to the CEO, as VP of Sales, you will take on the mantle of sales leadership across the business. Working directly with the sales and executive teams, you will be accountable for delivering on the following responsibilities:

  • Build and execute on a comprehensive sales strategy that connects directly to our broader company goals
  • Enable and champion the sales team to hit their targets – monitor KPIs and metrics and track sales performance, taking corrective actions where needed
  • Work with marketing, product, customer success to ensure a cohesive go-to-market strategy
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients
  • Own forecasting & re-forecasting for all business verticals including both top and bottom of funnel
  • Prepare and deliver regular board presentations on sales
  • Build and consistently work to improve best in class sales processes and strategies
  • Partner with the rest of the executive team to successfully guide the Yembo team towards the achievement of our short and long term goals
  • Prospect into specifically targeted potentially high value Enterprise accounts and own key relationships with current high value customers
  • Be a Yembo product and industry expert, teaching customers and the broader market how to achieve excellent outcomes using our AI products
  • Drive the ongoing development and improvement of our sales playbook, process, and methodology
  • Occasionally attend industry conferences


  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience with a track record of attaining team quotas
  • Understanding of sales efficiency (quantified as CAC and payback period)
  • 10+ years of Enterprise SaaS sales experience, with an excellent track record in building then owning high value client relationships
  • Strong business acumen with a “management-consultant” approach towards offering a solution sale with a focus on value over cost and features
  • Proven ability to lead and coach an exceptional team who are hungry for growth and opportunity
  • Self-starter with a bias towards action who is comfortable with ambiguity, and demonstrates a willingness to learn and ramp quickly to solve problems
  • High standard of excellence and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • You believe 100% is the minimum, are competitive by nature and have a desire to win
  • Growth mindset and belief in getting 1% better each day – you know feedback and coaching will help accelerate your growth

  • Experience using CRM to leverage sales processes (Hubspot or Salesforce preferred)
  • Experience in a high-growth tech start-up
  • Experience in selling into insurance carriers
  • Pacific time zone preferred

Within your first month, you’ll:

  • Build relationships with your sales team as well as your peers on the executive team
  • Learn Yembo’s sales process and methodologies, as well as, the tools we use on a daily basis
  • Leverage any opportunity you can to learn the market and industry
  • Build a solid understanding of business processes and best practices

Within your first 3 months, you’ll:

  • Manage and run the sales team (SDRs, AEs, Rev Ops) within 2 different verticals – moving & insurance.
  • Become the owner of day-to-day team management, quota management, pipe review.
  • Close a few deals yourself, so you know what it takes to get a customer over the finish line.
  • Learn our category-leading product(s) inside and out. To be truly successful, you will need to be a product expert so you can showcase value.
  • Refresh the sales playbook, and sales collateral and make them into living & breathing document(s).
  • Enable and champion the sales team to hit targets – monitor KPIs and metrics and track sales performance, take corrective actions

Within your first 6 months, you’ll:

  • Takeover Board presentation on sales.
  • Work with marketing, product, customer success to ensure a cohesive go-to-market strategy
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients.
  • As a member of the executive team, contribute to the overall company strategy sessions and direction

Salary Range: Base: $200,000 // OTE $350,000 USD

*Based on a variety of factors, including location, relevant skills, and years of experience.
