We’re looking to hire our Head of Finance who will establish our Finance function from the ground up. You’ll build out systems, cadence, and materials for financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and budgeting. The role sits on our leadership team, reports to the Co-Founder / COO, and supports all department leads across the company.

Here are some of the things you’ll do:

  • Develop and own the company’s consolidated financial model
  • Create revenue and burn forecasts, and work on headcount planning with all department leads
  • Support and influence key strategic decisions across the business
  • Provide analytical rigor and bring strategic critical thinking to operational initiatives (e.g., develop a pricing strategy and collaborate with cross-functional partners to roll this out)
  • Review monthly & quarterly closing, departmental variances analysis, pacing, budget, cash flow, and headcount analysis
  • Establish proper accounting controls and work with our bookkeeping and tax teams
  • Build out the Investor Relations function, including creating materials to update investors (board meetings, informal check-ins, and investor communications) and drive fundraising processes as necessary

About you:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience within strategic finance, management consulting, and/or investment banking
  • Experience working at/with startups is highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. An advanced degree (MBA, CFA) is a plus
  • Extensive experience building detailed financial analysis that is used to drive business decisions
  • You have a proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners. You are seen as a trusted and objective advisor
  • You have the ability to bring structure to ambiguous areas of opportunity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving environment
  • You have experience with financial planning tools, Salesforce, and advanced knowledge of Excel. Experience with SQL is preferred
  • You are an excellent communicator – both when speaking and writing
  • You have a track record of building highly effective teams
  • You have sufficient overlap with PST in your working day
