Your Mission

We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join the Product Engagement team at BlaBlaCar. Its mission is about understanding our members’ needs and connecting them to our products through a compelling story.

As a Product Marketer, your role will be to define the positioning, narrative and go-to-market strategies for our new or revamped product features. You will be reporting to the Head of Product Engagement and working with 2 other Product Marketing Managers. The Product Engagement team is composed of 4 pillars and ~15 people: Product Marketing, Content, CRM Automated Programs and Global Research. The team sits in the Product team and works hand in hand with the Product Managers and Designers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Obtaining insights into customers’ usage of current products and untapped opportunities through interviews, surveys, focus groups and product data to ensure we are building solutions designed to meet our users’ needs.
  • Creating an inspiring consumer narrative through positioning, audience targeting, and product storytelling – in collaboration with the Content team and Creative Studio.
  • Defining, planning and leading successful go to market strategies for our features through relevant communication strategy leveraging different channels and different geographies in and out of product (owned, paid, PR) – including measurement & optimization.
  • Engaging with cross-functional partners with actionable, data-driven insights to contribute to the product strategy and roadmap – in collaboration with the Research team, Product Managers, Designers, Analytics, CRM Team etc.
  • Building senior-level relationships with Marketing, Brand, Customer Relation Team and Corporate communication to ensure alignment and message consistency.

Your Qualifications

  • You have a strong experience (6-10 years) in Marketing or related fields with an emphasis on product marketing or product management.
  • You know marketing principles and techniques to create a marketing communication sequence that leads to product adoption. You have experience in developing consumer positioning, messaging, targeting, and in handling multi-country product launches.
  • You have strong data skills, and use data and customer insights to solve problems. Customers are at the heart of what you do.
  • You have strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage projects across multiple departments. You have demonstrated experience working with senior level managers, with highly effective communication and influencing skills. You are able to pitch and convince the importance of the Voice of Customer for the Product Strategy.
  • You are a natural storyteller who can tailor narratives and messaging to create value by communicating the product benefits to the outside world and to your colleagues.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
