Your Team and Role

Working on the Partnerships Team, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operation and growth of our business. As a Senior Business Operations Manager, you will:

  • Learn and demonstrate strong command over various internal software systems, like document storage platforms, data visualization and reporting systems, as well as external revenue reporting sites, affiliate portals and app store dashboards.
  • Support partner relationships, engaging with distribution partners and data providers, handling associated operational matters.
  • Understand search-industry specific ad metrics, their underlying drivers, and their inter-related dynamics, to support decision-making that balances revenue growth with user experience.
  • Collaborate with product, user insights, data science and finance stakeholders to consider a holistic view of user’s search experience to improve the search engine and meeting company objectives.

Examples of projects you might lead or collaborate on include:

  • Use data to tell compelling stories about measurable problem areas in DuckDuckGo search.
  • Recommend improved internal workflows for reporting low-quality results, from collection to analysis to reporting to third-party providers.
  • Building reports to help craft stories about our ad performance metrics

About You

  • 5+ years of experience and proven success in similar roles in managing web-based business operations, such as business development, marketing, or product management.
  • Intermediate programming skills in Python or a similar programming language.
  • Effective project management skills coupled with excellent organizational skills, prioritizing workload based on company priorities, adhering to schedules and providing frequent task and project updates.
  • Strong team orientation and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, devising improvements to processes and contributing to tactical and strategic initiatives.
  • Understanding of search, digital advertising or e-commerce landscapes, with strong awareness of established and disruptive brands.

Compensation

$178,500 USD annually and stock options. Compensation is identical within professional levels, regardless of geographic location or team. Compensation for each professional level is transparent across the organization.

  1. Expect to travel at least two times a year: once for our all-hands meetup and again for a team retreat (each around 4-5 days). While extenuating circumstances may impact attendance, everyone is strongly encouraged to attend.
  2. While we offer a flexible work arrangement with no core hours, expect an average full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.
