Job Expectations:
- Tenacity and the ability to manage effectively across a portfolio of business-critical projects will be required.
- This role will perform expert and effective project management for eCommerce Operations technologies and processes, while coordinating efforts with PMO leadership, implementation partners, and other project workstreams. Effective project management includes developing and maintaining project plans, identifying and managing risks, managing resource allocations and reporting on resource allocation issues across functional areas, and keeping projects on time, in scope, and within budget.
- Effectively taking notes, documenting decisions, outcomes, and risks are a paramount for succeeding in this role. This Senior Manager, Project Management will participate in requirements gathering and design sessions as well as workstream meetings and other associated project meetings and be expected to proactively follow up on outcomes.
- The Senior Manager, Project Management will participate in the creation of a standardized PMO framework and governance model, following it to define and manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, issues, and deliverables. They will also monitor and report on project progress, status, and performance.
- This role is expected to evangelize the value of effective project management by mentoring and guiding team members on use of the PMO framework and governance model. This role is also expected to further the maturity of the PMO by identifying necessary process improvements and bringing to bear their experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrates hands-on experience performing formal project management for eCommerce Operations projects: establishing scope, creating project artifacts, developing detailed project and resource plans, independently leading from initiation through closing, managing issues and risks, and establishing and maintaining a proactive and effective communication cadence.
- Functional experience with eCommerce Operations concepts and business processes is a must
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly analyze information, identify gaps, and make informed recommendations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Must be able to both listen and execute, but also professionally and productively challenge assumptions and highlight risks.
- Proven indirect leadership skills in a high-performing, fast-paced environment: willingness to both lead and contribute
- Experience with industry-standard project and product management tools. CAPM, PMP, Agile Scrum Master or other relevant certification / experience preferred.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task
Equipment Knowledge:
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 7 to 10 years’ experience as a project manager, functional lead, or subject matter expert specifically leading projects related to implementing, upgrading, and supporting eCommerce Operations.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
