Truebill is looking  for a creative junior designer with two years of experience to join our design team. The responsibilities of a junior designer include creating designs and illustrations according to specifications from product managers, reporting to the senior designer, and growing the brand design system. You should have original ideas and have a keen eye for detail. Ultimately, a junior designer should be able to create imaginative designs, be open to learning more and create impressive designs that promote the company’s vision.

ABOUT THE ROLE 🤹‍♀️

You will be responsible for interpreting and expanding the existing Truebill design language. Focusing primarily on product marketing, in-app messaging and app store imagery your work will be both the starting point for project ideation as well as the finishing touch to new and existing creative concepts. Starting from rough concepts to clearly defined ideas, you will be responsible for illustrations, email designs, conceptual UI/UX and other graphic elements to effectively communicate the vision of product managers and team leads in a collaborative environment.

Specifically, you will:

  • Research, concept, visualize and refine icon and illustration systems for the Truebill brand.
  • Manage brand assets and typography systems for the Truebill brand.
  • Works within existing brand guidelines and designs to version out collateral, emails, and digital assets for our website, product, and email marketing.
  • Works well as part of a collaborative team, and directly with product designers, the Head of Design, and other teams within Truebill (when necessary).
  • Understanding project requirements and ideas.
  • Using graphic techniques to create drafts.
  • Pitching creative concepts.
  • Collaborating with the team to launch projects.
  • Using feedback from other designers to improve.

ABOUT YOU 🦄

  • 2+ years of experience in brand design or related fields.
  • Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to understand project scope and accurately assess time availability.
  • Warm personality and a love for illustration & design systems.
  • Strong sense of brand as it applies to product, marketing, and email design.
  • Experience or familiarity with UI/UX concepts.
  • Ability to iterate on multiple concepts at once.
  • Self direction and visual research in building brand assets and illustrations.
  • Strong experience in the Adobe Suite including Photoshop &  Illustrator (bonus points for After Effects)
  • Experience in Figma preferred, this Truebill’s main design tool.
  • Proficiency in file preparation, time management, and clean handoff to product managers.
  • Eagerness to pursue multiple projects and mediums of design.
  • The capacity to enjoy collaborating with colleagues, but also the ability to fly solo.
  • Bonus points for proficiency in HTML and CSS.
