The Opportunity

We are searching for an experienced, creative, and motivated Social Media and Influencer Marketing Manager who is passionate about consumer storytelling via social media channels, creating and nurturing online communities, and spearheading the growth of social media channels to commercialization. In addition, this person will also be the custodian of the Influencer Marketing program, crafting and pitching campaign briefs to relevant KOLs, influencers, celebrities, and partners to create compelling, engaging, and wide reaching UGC content for brand awareness, education, and amplification to drive user acquisition and retention.

This is a senior role that will report to the Communications Director and will regularly interact with our highly experienced and inspiring teams across People & Talent, Product, Communications & PR, and Creative.

What you’ll do

  • Lead creative strategies for influencer/creator programs from ‘What if we?’ to ‘Here’s what we learned.’
  • Amplify Brand and Product projects with specific influencer partnerships by managing talent identification and vetting, outreach, negotiations, ideation, and measurement
  • Proactively find ways influencer marketing can help us leverage emerging trends and business opportunities as well as impact user acquisition and retention, increasing revenues
  • Define success metrics and regularly share results with leadership
  • Translate campaign reports into actionable insights for teams, projects, and processes
  • Collaborate with Digital and Marketing teams to create a process for scaling UGC across platforms.
  • Become the Brand team’s resident expert on emerging platforms for creators
  • Develop and execute the social media strategy for Ruby Labs’ products social media channels and increase engagement, growth and traffic flow from social channels
  • Lead strategy for content creation, creative direction and consumer engagement to elevate brand and product awareness via social platforms, while remaining on-brand
  • Build and lead the community engagement strategy, executing creative community engagement campaigns that make an impact and elevate reach and awareness
  • Develop and lead social media support strategy for communications, PR and employee engagement campaigns, events and partnerships
  • Analyse and report social channel and activation performance to quantify the effectiveness of campaigns and drive scalable learnings
  • Set an experimentation calendar and test hypotheses around the optimal editorial strategy for Ruby Labs products

About you

  • Minimum of 5+ years of professional social media and influencer marketing management experience
  • Proven experience in creating, managing, and executing a global influencer marketing program end to end.
  • Robust experience and proven results managing social media marketing, specifically accelerating channel growth organically/paid and via social influencer marketing
  • Experience managing and executing through creative agencies and/or internal creative teams with an understanding and respect of creative development and production processes
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communications skills
  • A creative streak and experience in social asset curation, as well as social media content strategy
  • Solid understanding of social media, influencer UGC, and content performance metrics
  • Experience presenting social media and influencer marketing metrics and progress to the goal, to senior leadership
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and inform future strategies for social media and influencer growth
  • Experience in developing social media channels for commercialisation
  • An impressive track record of growing audiences and delivering on social engagement metrics
  • Experience and competent in using influencer and social media tools and platforms to work efficiently and smart
  • Experience in utilising social media and influencer marketing to make a true impact on the business, increasing sales/revenue, or driving retention.

Nice to have

  • Prior consumer social media and influencer marketing experience, growing and managing social brand channels of significant scale, preferably in the lifestyle app space
  • Prior experience in building and elevating social media channels from the ground up in global organisations
  • Previous / demonstrated experience in creating and running global social media campaigns that elevate brand awareness and community engagement to the next level
  • Experience in penetrating specific social media groups and securing partnerships to further amplify reach and awareness to very niche audiences
