Belltower was formed in 2019 as AngelList’s native fund administrator and completed its journey to become an independent company at the end of 2023. Belltower provides fund administration services to the venture space. Our coverage ranges from syndicates to venture funds to first-of-their-kind rolling funds. Our full-service fund management offering abstracts away the complexity of running a fund by integrating the financial reporting, tax, compliance, portfolio management, and other services that managers typically have to cobble together from multiple vendors. Our services, combined with Angellist’s software, enable us to efficiently launch and scale a fund, allowing fund managers to focus on what they do best: investing.
Since 2019, Belltower has supported 20k+ funds representing over $16B in assets under administration, leveraging AngelList’s fund admin software to power the service layer for funds launched on the AngelList platform.
About the Role:
At Belltower Funds Group, we want to create a workplace where people will be provide exceptional service to fund managers and investors we serve. As the Head of People reporting into the CEO, you will work closely with senior leadership to establish a people strategy and culture for the company to enable our teams to produce outlier results.
You will be building the company’s formative learning, development, and manager training programs, and provide critical support as we expand the function to support our continued growth. You will work closely with managers to provide insight and guidance on issues related to performance management, learning programs, manager training, organizational development, and employee relations.
You will:
- Deeply understand our business to provide quality consultation that meets our teams’ needs.
- Drive our foundational HR processes (performance cycle, calibration and reviews, compensation, promotions, etc.)
- Develop and facilitate leadership and development programs, including actually-enjoyable manager training courses that build valuable skills and improve performance.
- Analyze people data to provide executives with recommendations to improve employee engagement and overall company health.
- Work closely with CEO and senior leadership to lead headcount planning, succession planning, collaborate on talent acquisition strategies, and evaluate organization structures to ensure future readiness.
- HR Compliance: Stay current on employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, ensuring all HR practices adhere to legal standards.
You have:
- 8+ years experience building people programs and providing HR support at a high-growth startup in the tech and/or services space
- Superb communication skills – written and verbal
- Based in, or willing to relocate to, Salt Lake City, UT.
- An ability to influence colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Knowledge and experience in core people functions including strategic people planning, workforce planning, talent management and development, learning and development, engagement and retention, compensation, HR systems,benefits & compliance, and employee relations
- Excellent project management skills and experience developing and rolling out new leadership programs
- A collaborative outlook and an ability to work cross-functionally across teams with ease
- (nice to have) Experience with the tools in our People tech stack: ADP Workforce Now, Charthop, Lattice, CultureAmp, Google Suite.
