The Podcast Mission is the product and technology team at Spotify dedicated to building tools for podcast creators. We develop and maintain products that provide an exceptional creator experience, enabling podcasters to host, create, distribute, monetize, and grow their podcasts. Our tools also help podcasters continuously understand and engage with their audience.

What You’ll Do

  • Tackle complex backend and frontend challenges related to the publishing platform for our enterprise customers.
  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain front end surfaces that provide content management capabilities such as uploading, thumbnails, transcripts, polls, trailers and other interactivity features.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, product owners, designers and other web engineering teams to identify and solve complex problems.
  • Adopt and learn best practices and design patterns.
  • Have opportunities to gain expertise in backend engineering and data engineering.

Who You Are

  • Possess strong expertise in modern web technologies including JavaScript, React, and TypeScript and are familiar with Java for backend services.
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Passionate about creating end-to-end user experiences and have a keen interest in software architecture, encompassing the frontend, backend, and the APIs that connect them.
  • Professional experience in a product-driven environment.
  • Committed to delivering high-quality code that is well-tested.
  • Highly value collaboration within and across teams to achieve optimal outcomes for the organization.
  • Prioritize business impact and understand the trade-offs between complex technical solutions and simpler approaches that cater to various stages of product development.

Where You’ll Be

  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! For this role, you can be within the EST time zone as long as we have a work location.

The United States base range for this position is $100,706 – $143,865, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays. These ranges may be modified in the future.
