The Upwork Sales team brings our contingent staffing solutions to large businesses. As an Enterprise Account Manager, you will manage a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek expansion opportunities to grow overall client revenue. Your Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a strong business case for Upwork through a consultative and value driven sales process, leveraging creativity in prospecting for new revenue streams within your portfolio.
  • Meet and exceed sales growth goals through forging relationships with key decision makers within target accounts with the end goal of securing new business and growing overall client revenue, in addition to securing partnership renewals
  • Identify, prioritize and track progress toward key account metrics and annual quota
  • Stay current on clients’ business, industry, and key objectives and challenges so that you can be a trusted ally and provide thought leadership at the executive level through regular client QBRs and Executive Reviews
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate resources throughout the sales cycle, including sales engineering, program management, customer care and product management
  • Present to a wide audience of potential buyers including C-level and executive stakeholders both in person and virtually

What it takes to catch our eye:

  • 5-7 years in progressive quota carrying enterprise sales roles, preferably in an expansion-based growth environment
  • Consistent achievement of sales goals working with global or high growth organizations
  • Experience developing innovative strategies to solve customer’s higher-order challenges
  • Experience in renewing and expanding products within existing accounts/customer portfolio
  • Ability to communicate with influence, using a measurable and repeatable process for growing adoption and revenue
  • Strong motivation to develop existing Enterprise customers to maximize revenue
  • Strong executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as client-facing presentation skills

The annual base salary range for this position in California and Washington is displayed below. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salary for this position in California and Washington, and individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, this position is eligible for the annual bonus plan or sales incentive plan and eligibility to participate in our long term equity incentive program.
