Summary of Position:

Penta is seeking a Copywriter to join our remote dynamic Creative team. Copywriters benefit from immediate client exposure and opportunities for professional development while working in a fun, dynamic, and challenging environment. Copywriters work closely with designers, strategists, managing directors, and partners across multiple teams or projects, supporting both client work and the firm’s own publications.

A successful candidate has 1-3 years of experience in copywriting at a creative agency or in advertising/marketing. The candidate must have strong writing and time management skills and the ability to interpret client needs. A successful candidate is intellectually curious, eager to learn and contribute, works well in teams, and interested in developing creative solutions that help scale the reach and resonance of important ideas.

Responsibilities:

– Is versatile in voice and has experience writing across multiple mediums to create work that is distinctive and memorable

– Write, edit, and proofread copy to ensure high editorial standards

– Adapt writing style and approach based on the client’s voice and target audiences

– Collaborate with designers to build compelling brand narratives for multichannel use

– Collaborate with the team and contribute to the strategic decision-making process when developing recommendations for client or internal projects

– Draft strategy materials that ensure high quality across products, including strategy briefs and creative briefs

– Follow clients’ businesses and industries to maintain a current knowledge base and keep the team apprised of new and ongoing developments

– Inform communication and advocacy strategies with policy expertise

– Provide feedback to managerial insight/analysis

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree

– 1-3 years of experience copywriting for a variety of audiences at a communications agency, creative agency, marking/advertising agency, or in a related field

– Interest in public discourse, broader business and economics trends, and policy

– Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple, competing assignments

– Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team

– Excellent verbal and written communication skills

– Ability to take initiative; motivated and self-starting

– Solid presentation skills and strong attention to detail

– Interest in or openness to learning basic design skills, using programs such as Figma

Salary Range:

The base salary range for this position will be $57,000 -$87,000, depending on a candidate’s experience and qualifications as it relates to the position.
