Fountain is looking for a Communications Specialist to join the Public Relations Team. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, creative and media oriented, with a passion for technology and innovation. We are looking to add a forward-thinking PR Specialist to work closely with senior executives on internal and external communications planning, proactive and reactive media relations, speaking opportunities, events, and social media activities. You will partner with key leaders across the business to further develop and strengthen Fountain’s narrative. The role will focus on North America, and support our global PR teams.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage media interviews and prep for senior executive officers, including national television, radio, global print/broadcast media, and all trade publications.
  • Identify new and existing awards, event sponsorships and speaking opportunities
  • Identify themes, topics and content that will resonate with target audiences and meet strategic business objectives
  • Build and enhance mutually beneficial relationships among target media
  • Draft and lead the development of effective communications materials to include strategic plans, press releases, media alerts, remarks, social media content and other communications documents for various audiences
  • Develop weekly and monthly media results reports for multiple clients
  • Effectively manage up with supervisors

What you should bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing or a related field
  • At least three years in media relations or communications
  • Thorough knowledge of the concepts and principles of news, media communications and media relations
  • Thorough skills in understanding and effectively utilizing all news / media mediums including broadcast news, the internet, social media and other emerging technologies
  • A positive team-player attitude and is passionate about news and media
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and detailed project management skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent organization
  • Ability to adapt to change and work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
