Overview
Lightcast is seeking a visionary, people-centered Chief Product Officer (CPO) to lead our global product organization and define the next era of workforce intelligence. This executive role offers the opportunity to shape a mission-driven company that’s redefining how people and organizations understand the labor market and navigate the future of work.
As a key member of the executive team, the CPO will scale a high-performing, innovation-focused team, influence a diverse product portfolio across regions and sectors, and drive strategic initiatives like Beacon. You’ll lead in a values-driven culture grounded in integrity, impact, and innovation—building category-defining products that deliver real market advantage.
Major Responsibilities:
-
- Strategic Product Leadership: Define and champion the long-term product vision and roadmap that aligns with Lightcast’s strategic priorities and growth ambitions across B2B segments. This includes setting and delivering against clear, measurable outcomes such as roadmap milestones, closing competitive feature gaps, and improving CSAT/NPS through product enhancements. Product priorities are carefully balanced between short-term execution and long-term innovation, with a strong focus on customer value, defensibility, and scalability.
- Customer and Market Alignment: Own the Customer Advisory Board structure and cadence to gather actionable feedback that directly influences the roadmap and strengthens market alignment. Conduct ongoing competitive analysis and benchmarking to identify gaps and opportunities, prioritizing innovations that position Lightcast as a category leader. Develop a deep understanding of customer workflows, challenges, and use cases across industries to deliver differentiated, high-impact solutions.
- Execution and Operational Excellence: Lead, coach, and scale a global product organization of over 60 team members, fostering a culture rooted in accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement. Ensure cross-functional alignment with engineering, design, go-to-market, and customer success teams by clearly communicating product priorities, success metrics, and transparent execution plans. Collaborate closely with Marketing and Sales to support product launches and track enablement and adoption metrics that demonstrate market traction.
- Partner-Enabled Product Growth: Collaborate closely with the partnerships team to ensure the product strategy and execution support joint solutions, data sharing, and embedded experiences with key global partners. Establish scalable frameworks for partner-integrated product features while maintaining strong alignment with both commercial and technical partner teams.
- Organizational Leadership and Collaboration: Serve as a key member of the executive team, actively contributing to enterprise-wide planning and strategic decision-making. Promote a product-first culture across the organization by fostering clarity, focus, and excitement around product innovation and customer success. Represent Lightcast externally and internally as a spokesperson for the company’s product vision and innovation roadmap.
Education & Experience:
-
- 8+ years of progressive product leadership experience, including 3+ years in executive product roles at a high-growth, B2B software or DaaS company.
- Proven success in leading product organizations with global scale, diverse vertical markets, and a partner-embedded product strategy.
- Experience delivering complex, data-rich solutions that require cross-functional coordination, user-centered design, and analytics-driven prioritization.
- Track record of shipping enterprise software products with measurable outcomes—such as revenue growth, CSAT improvements, retention metrics, and market expansion.
- Demonstrated success working across multiple customer segments—preferably corporate, education, and public sector.
- Strong preference for candidates with domain expertise in data-as-a-service, labor market analytics, or workforce intelligence.
- Experience managing large, distributed teams (50+) and scaling product operations in tandem with business growth.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in business, data science, or technology-related field preferred.
