The Brand Activation team is responsible for the design strategy behind bringing the brand to life across campaigns, events, and film touching various asset types including web, print, digital, and industry events. We drive brand identity and consistency across all activations, striving for a clear design optimization of channels, in-person activations, improvement in campaign performance, and conversions.

As a designer on the Brand Activation team, you’ll be designing assets that span the full prospect and customer journey for high-impact campaign lifecycles. The ideal candidate for this role is versed in how powerful design can affect a campaign journey with a keen design eye for composition and detail. You love the strategy behind creative work, know how to define successful metrics, and are on top of design trends for how to elevate the Toast brand.

About this roll* (Responsibilities)

  • Conceptualize and design engaging visuals for physical and digital campaigns, events, and activations, ensuring brand consistency and message clarity.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Activation & Events team to translate brand strategy and marketing objectives into visually compelling campaigns and experiences.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, sales) to ensure seamless integration and consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints.
  • Create design assets that cross campaign touchpoints including social media, presentations, the web, video, and more.
  • Develop creative assets for a wide range of materials, including presentations, signage, booth designs, interactive elements, promotional materials, and social media content.
  • Stay informed on the latest design trends and technologies to create innovative and engaging campaigns and experiences.

  • Possesses a strong and diverse portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills in various areas, including composition, campaign design, and visual storytelling.
  • Demonstrates a proficiency in design software including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adaptable to changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Possesses excellent communication and collaboration skills, effectively translating ideas into visuals and collaborating across diverse teams.
  • Has a passion for experiential design and campaign creation, with a keen eye for detail and a desire to push creative boundaries.
  • Motion and animation experience a plus

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.

$76,000—$122,000 USD
