Director of Creative Strategy is accountable for creating innovative and appealing designs on a rapid and iterative basis, through sketches, storyboards, user task flows, wireframes, prototypes, and the production of final assets for specific features and projects. This role will collaborate with creative teams, project managers, designers and developers, and clients to understand and incorporate technical, business, and user requirements into usable designs for web and mobile.
Responsibilities
- Support all aspects of design and production, focusing on ad concepts for activation, UI design and UX best practices to deliver simple solutions that resonate with consumers and deliver on business objectives.
- Develop creative plan with media priorities (eg. campaign launches). Define positioning, messaging, and GTM, and drive improvements across the consumer journey to enhance the experience and remove friction.
- Work with clients to recommend and implement quantitative and qualitative consumer insights tools (Crazy Egg, Clicktale, surveys, etc.) then analyze and provide key learnings for next test / roll-out iterations.
- With media team, measure and continuously enhance the experience. Starting with end business goals in mind; identify, analyze and adjust testing plan and metrics to show KPI improvements / optimizations (eg. AOV / LTV, CVR, Time on Site, Video Completions, etc.).
- Understand and work within project parameters: client goals and requirements, internal goals, usability, technical constraints, as well as within budget and schedule.
- Thought Leader. Cultivate an understanding of industry trends and share your insights with the team.
- Be a user centric design advocate to lead UX discussions on topics including visual design, interaction design, content requirements, information architecture, and user research needs.
Experience
- 7+ years creative strategy experience
- 5+ years of agency/marketing services experience
- Experience overseeing development of user interfaces for complex online systems and mobile platforms.
- Proven experience creating detailed wireframes, site outlines, process flows, and navigation models in a thorough, clean, and concise way.
- Fluency in best practices for mobile and web-based design, as well as strong knowledge of information architecture.
- Knowledge with latest design and technology trends across web and mobile platforms, and able to adopt modern techniques as appropriate.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, presenting and visual communication skills.
Bonus Points
- An online portfolio displaying a firm understanding of user-centered design processes and information architecture principles across advertising
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illlustrator) and Figma.
