The Corporate Development team focuses on M&A, strategic opportunities and the development of our corporate strategy. This role is an excellent opportunity to join a small team that influences long-term company-wide investment initiatives. You will be responsible for sourcing and executing impactful acquisitions and investments, as well as informing our strategy by identifying industry trends and maintaining relationships with startups and VCs. This position offers a great opportunity to work closely with key executives and internal cross-functional stakeholders to help direct Figma’s growth.

What you’ll do at Figma:

  • Build the corporate development deal pipeline, including outreach to and sourcing of new opportunities
  • Support all aspects of deal execution including financial modeling, due diligence, integration planning, and coordination of cross-functional teams
  • Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and help build relationships with key players in the industry(e.g. VCs, companies, founders, etc.)
  • Conduct market research, synthesize findings, and work with senior team members to develop strategies and identify acquisition opportunities that help shape company and product strategy

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in venture capital, private equity, strategy consulting, investment banking or corporate development — preferably for a B2B and/or SaaS business
  • Experience sourcing deals and building relationships with founders
  • Ability to manage complex processes from start to finish and a desire to work cross-functionally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Financial modeling experience
  • A self-starter mentality with the ability to work autonomously to drive projects to completion
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
