JOB TITLE: Sr Engineering Manager
LOCATION: Remote
THE ROLE:
As a Senior Engineering Manager for the Discovery team, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers that owns the front door of Splice. Your team will focus on collaborating with marketing and product management teams to help creators who aren’t using Splice discover us and what we have to offer.
In this role, you will mentor and coach both engineers and early-career managers, fostering their technical growth and professional development. You will be in charge of developing and maintaining processes that empower the team to move quickly and efficiently, ensuring smooth project execution and timely delivery of high-quality results.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Collaborate with marketing & product leadership to drive a culture of empowered teams, fostering ownership, collaboration, and initiative across the organization.
- Define clear objectives for the team and lead them in achieving those goals.
- Establish and maintain efficient processes to facilitate the team’s productivity.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies, best practices, and industry trends in software development.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to early-career managers and engineers to support their technical and professional growth.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to shape technical strategy and secure buy-in across the organization.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Champion and advocate for engineering best practices, code quality, and scalability to maintain high standards across projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven expertise in technical leadership, particularly frontend engineering, within a cross-functional and distributed team environment.
- Outstanding communication, organizational skills, and a user-centric mindset.
- Experience implementing agile methodologies, particularly Kanban and/or Lean.
- Experience leading teams building production features for SaaS applications.
- Proficient in strategy planning and stakeholder management.
- Demonstrated expertise in guiding senior engineers and identifying growth avenues for their continuing development.
- Proven track record of mentoring and coaching early-career engineers in both personal development and business impact.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience leading teams that own marketing tools e.g. Braze, Google Tag Manager, Webflow
The national pay range for this role is $195,000 – $235,000. Individual compensation will be commensurated with the candidate’s experience.
