Shogun, and we’re on a mission to help people create the best eCommerce experiences in the world.

We were in the Winter 2018 batch of Y-Combinator, we just raised a Series A investment, we have over 13,000 active paying clients, and we’re preparing to launch a new product in 2020 (you can read more in Tech Crunch).

Our teams are fully distributed and global (check out our team page)! We have no office, so we are looking for team members that are comfortable with and motivated by the opportunity to work remotely.

In this role you will…

  • Own OKR’s for Product Org
  • Manage product initiative priorities via a prioritization model like RICE.
  • Deeply understand the product problems that you are tackling through user research and speaking with clients. Define and re-frame user problems for the team.
  • Collaborate with the founders, designers, and engineers to imagine the future and define solutions to big problems.
  • Be responsible for building, managing, and leading distributed product managers through all aspects of product life cycle.
  • Manage Product Managers, and ensure that our product(s) are cohesive, and not becoming detached core features.
  • Manage and improve Product process
  • Lead the transformation of product ideas into actionable concepts, timelines and project
  • Drive consensus of product vision and strategy, the business case, and roadmap at the leadership level.
  • Define a product scope that is centered on the most important use cases with a focus on getting it into users hands as quickly as possible.
  • Define quantitative and qualitative success metrics and constantly evaluate if your solutions have solved the problem through these measures, before and after it’s released.
  • Guide cross-functional teams of product managers, engineers, designers, and data analysts while playing a key role in organizing and communicating their work across the organization
  • Manage external communications for product, and collaborate with Marketing, Client Services and Business Development.
  • Manage internal communications for product – creating transparency for roadmaps.

You Have…

  • 10+ years of working experience in Product, with 3+ years in a Product leadership role.
  • 5+ years experience in relevant SaaS, eCommerce tech, or web design/dev agencies industries.
  • A strong, proven design background, ability to think deeply about product decisions and an understanding of how to create simple user interfaces.
  • Demonstrable skills as a communicator of product decisions and the rationale behind them.
  • Background working with both qualitative customer insights and quantitative customer data to inform decisions. You’ve conducted user research, a/b tests and have worked closely with design researchers and analysts (or have analyzed data yourself).
  • An entrepreneurial mindset —you’re self-driven and you default to action.
  • The ability to easily switch between thinking creatively and analytically.
  • A data-driven approach to strategy and decision making.
