We are looking for a Vice President of Growth Marketing who is passionate about tapping into customer needs in a way that rises above the fray across channels to build and accelerate pipeline for new logo and cross- and up-sell opportunities. You’ll be a key leader in the marketing team and across Degreed as a whole, partnering closely with our other marketing centers of excellence, revenue ops and sales teams to build and execute on integrated marketing plans spanning demand generation, field/events marketing and partner marketing. You’ll lead a global team of eager marketers and create and drive the strategy for Degreed growth marketing spanning integrated campaign execution (with an account-based marketing lens), email and direct marketing, digital PPC, paid search, field marketing/events and campaign operations. You’ll also partner closely with the web team to drive high-value demand actions through our online properties.

This position will report to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Day In The Life

  • Plan and execute a segment, account, and persona-based marketing strategy to generate and accelerate pipeline across each region globally for the Degreed portfolio.
  • Build and execute an integrated marketing plan to support key thought leadership and demand themes across email, direct mail, digital, field programs, webinars, events and web.
  • Align plans to sales goals and business priorities, contributing to and bringing to life regional go-to-market strategies defined by the Marketing Strategy team.
  • Track, report on and optimize impact of growth marketing activities to drive the funnel across KPIs spanning funnel volume, quality and velocity, from upper funnel to close.
  • ​​Establish a strong partnership with sales, including providing messaging and toolkits for lead follow up and outbound prospecting by Sales Development Managers.
  • Collaborate with other marketing centers of excellence to build and coordinate overall execution strategy and integrate programs across the buyer journey.
  • Support execution needs of other marketing centers of excellence, e.g. Customer Marketing adoption nurture email programs, etc.
  • Develop customer-centric messaging and experiences that are compelling and unique to rise above the fray.
  • Develop messaging and content to support growth marketing activity execution spanning email and landing page copy and design, digital and direct mail assets, event communication strategy, etc., and work with subject matter experts to develop webinar/event-related presentations.
  • Drive partner marketing strategy and execution, working in alignment with the Degreed partner team.
  • Enable, communicate and educate the sales team and other stakeholders on campaign-related objectives, deadlines, tasks and KPI performance.
  • Support internal business needs and celebrations with internal events that help employees collaborate and build relationships effectively and feel appreciated and inspired.
  • Inspire, activate and manage a team of global marketers to accomplish your objectives while supporting their development and career growth.

Who You Are

  • 13+ years in demand generation, digital marketing, and field marketing roles, primarily for B2B SaaS companies
  • 7+ years experience creating and executing integrated marketing plans across channels
  • 6+ years of team leadership, including management of globally dispersed team members
  • You love the pressure of pipeline ownership and are a quick problem solver with pivot ideas to address gaps
  • “Data-driven Operating Model” is a big “YES, OF COURSE!”
  • Excellent communication skills in English and experience developing customer-focused demand generation content (samples will be required and assessed for clarity, flow and accuracy)
  • You think through the customer lens

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Degreed is a remote-first company, however our roles are open to in-office or flex work if you live in a city with a physical office location (when it is safe to return to the office). This role has the opportunity to operate 100% virtually from your home office. We primarily collaborate with our US and International colleagues through virtual meetings (Zoom), email, and Slack. In this role, you will be required to operate a laptop computer (PC or Mac available), computer software platforms, and other office productivity machinery as necessary.  Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to remain stationary for extended periods, and must be able to observe and interpret written and/or verbal communication.
