We are seeking a Training Manager to develop and implement our customer onboarding strategy, a key driver in early product adoption. You’ll have the opportunity to build out a scalable customer education and training program that will be critical to our success as we continue to grow. You’ll be responsible for communicating the value of our product to customers while ensuring their success. You’ll have product ownership of developer documentation, our Learning Management System for customer onboarding, and onsite customer training.

As Training Manager, your practical responsibilities will include:

  • Define and implement the strategy, cadence, and OKR’s (Objective and Key Results) for customer education and training
  • Facilitate and edit cross-team contributions of developer documentation
  • Assist customers with use case scenarios, bringing them up to speed on our product and learning their needs through help desk support, office hours, and calls
  • Create educational content to enable self-service customer onboarding training courses and other learning materials
  • Work with marketing to communicate with customers about new training and educational opportunities
  • Help onboard customers from Proof of Concept to Production
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, results-oriented culture
  • Collect and publish metrics for customer training, education and adoption goals
  • We’re a startup, and things are growing quickly and these responsibilities will evolve over time

On a given day, you might find yourself:

  • Answering a help desk support ticket to educate customers on how to use our product successfully
  • Communicating with customers about new features by writing a new blog post, training course or email blast
  • Working with Customer Success and other teams to understand new education and training opportunities based on customer feedback
  • Providing remote and in-person customer training for product onboarding
  • Reviewing documentation provided by engineering team members on new features

And we might be a good match if you have:

  • 3+ years experience as a data scientist, engineer, developer or in IT, preferably a combination of big and small company environments.
  • 3+ years experience as an educator or presenter, or Developer Advocate, Sales Engineer, or other customer-facing roles
  • 2+ years experience in the field of Machine Learning, analytics or Big Data.
  • Excellent written and communication skills as demonstrated by active projects, presentation history, or written articles
  • The ability to prioritize and execute on multiple projects with a passion for detail
  • Are highly collaborative, especially with the ability to work well with diverse and distributed stakeholders
  • Deep empathy for users, and understand that Algorithmia would not exist without them
  • Love studying, learning, teaching, and seeing how customers and technology can work better together
