SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING MANAGER – COMMUNICATIONS TEAM

We are looking for a Social Media Marketing Manager to lead Fastly’s corporate social media accounts. Through cross-functional collaboration, agency partnership, and management of inputs from internal stakeholders, this highly-organized, creative new team member will help drive growth and engagement across our corporate social media channels and help foster employee advocacy.

We’re seeking an efficient, compassionate, and reliable social media marketing professional with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for engaging with communities online and showcasing value through analytics. You are a forward thinker, as well as adaptable to real-time events. The new Social Media Marketing Manager will keep projects on track in a fast-paced environment, and facilitate fresh, creative thinking that helps engage, connect, and encourage conversation around stories and news that matters to Fastly’s audience. We are a growing team of communications and marketing professionals focused on challenging traditional thinking and contributing in a crucial way to the business of building a better internet.

This role reports to the Senior Communications Manager, and will be based in the U.S. (remote).

What You’ll Do

  • You’ll use social media marketing tools to cultivate the company’s brand across corporate profiles
  • You’ll work cross-functionally, with outside agencies, Communications Team members, and other members of the company, to develop creative, on-target social media campaigns
  • You’ll monitor and engage with customers, employees, and developers via Fastly’s social media accounts
  • You’ll identify strategic opportunities to elevate Fastly’s voice and presence in key social media communities, contributing strategic input and recommendations for elevating executive and marketing content
  • You’ll stay up-to-date on relevant social media trends for Fastly’s market to enhance and adapt engagement and growth strategies
  • You’ll establish strong working relationships with support, technical, recruitment, employee services teams and more to triage support/ customer questions/ complaints via social media channels to create dynamic social campaigns that reflect and promote programs from across the company
  • You’ll set objectives and KPIs for and measure performance of social media activities and campaigns, communicating these results to Marketing organization, cross-functional stakeholders, and executive leadership

What We’re Looking For

  • You have 6+ years social media marketing experience, either in-house or agency-side
  • You are proficient in written language and communication skills, with high standards for excellence, patience, empathy, drive, holistic thinking, and hands-on creativity
  • You have the ability to hit tight deadlines, calmly change direction on a dime, and assess tradeoffs and risks with air-tight judgment with air-tight judgment
  • You have a proven record of high performance on a productive and organized team, deftly managing competing deadlines and priorities
  • You have experience with social media management and analytics tools to report impact and value beyond numbers
  • You are eager to leverage feedback, learn, and problem-solve collaboratively in real-time, and work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • You have immense attention to detail, with the ability to understand the power of the written word, and hold high standards for what is shipped out the door

We value a variety of voices, so this is not a laundry list. It would be an added bonus if you have experience in ANY of these:

  • Preferably a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline
  • Experience in B2B technology communications or marketing

In accordance with applicable law, Fastly’s minimum base pay for this role if hired in Colorado is $83,000 per year. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity plan. Final offer amount will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of experience and expertise, location and other business considerations. Note that this role is available to candidates outside of Colorado and different minimum compensation may apply.
