Overview

The Sr. Marketing Operations Manager is a new role on the US Field Marketing team. In this role, you will work closely with the US Field Marketing team to drive process improvements, marketing results, and operational excellence. You will have direct responsibility for analytics, reporting, budget management, forecasting, and team communications and improvement projects. This is a data driven role that will influence marketing programs, investments, and strategic decisions. In this role, you will help improve how our team performs by implementing policies, programs, training and processes designed to increase productivity, return on investments, and execution quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support on budget and forecasting issues across the US Field Marketing team to ensure we achieve our goals and meet deadlines
  • Write narratives that clearly define business problems and opportunities, supported by data, and recommend solutions
  • Build reports and dashboards in Salesforce.com and Tableau to provide visibility into marketing campaign results and measure campaign effectiveness
  • Use statistical analysis models to predict trends, identify issues, and forecast goal attainment
  • Build a reporting structure to track lead flow and use it to identify trends that you analyze and use to generate insights that you share with leadership
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analytical models in response to management requests
  • Work collaboratively with US Field Marketing team members to set reporting requirements, gather reporting from team members, and produce consolidated team reports
  • Attend monthly business reviews, record action items, and provide insights
  • Develop a team communications plan and drive execution of the plan
  • Build a tracking and reporting structure for managing the team’s budget and report out on operational spend against forecast to ensure 100% budget spend
  • Train new employees on our tools, reporting sources, and operational processes
  • Help team members with questions on how to navigate tools and reports and interpret data

Experience

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in a high-tech B2B marketing operations role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Operations, Analytics or comparable education
  • Familiarity with B2B tech marketing lead management processes, lead scoring models and marketing automation tools
  • Track record of building reports and dashboards for tracking campaign results and the demand funnel using Marketo, Salesforce.com, and Tableau
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Track record of developing and managing multiple programs simultaneously
  • Knowledge of marketing budget and financial accrual process for budget forecasting and tracking
  • Strong understanding of demand generation funnel
  • Very strong analytical, critical thinking, and metrics-based reporting skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
