What You Would Do

We’re looking for a strong Senior Information Security Specialist  to work cross-functionally across Engineering, People, Sales, Finance and Product to proactively support the security posture of Cobalt. You will identify Company risk areas, promote security and run security initiatives.

You Would:

  • Build Cobalt’s internal security program: Identify main risks, complete initiatives accross the organization.
  • Own security and privacy policy procedures
  • Be the point person for security questions incl. vendor security questionnaire details
  • Promote and teach a solid security awareness for all of Cobalt and keep everyone up to date on current risks
  • Setup and manage tools that aid in enhancing the security posture of Cobalt’s infrastructure and tools
  • Work with software engineers in San Francisco and Berlin to work on highest ROI initiatives for our infrastructure
  • Run and manage any security incidents as they come up

Who You Are

  • Minimum 5 years of security experience: E.g. as Information Security Specialist, or in risk management, penetration testing, AppSec Engineering, vulnerability management and remediation.
  • Ability and desire to constantly learn: What does the application security space look like? Why and how do customers and security researchers come to Cobalt? How do we optimize the experience and look at our product to solve their problems? What’s on the horizon?
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally, written and graphically. In order to understand a problem and propose a solution you must talk to both users, Cobalt staff and engineers and share your work verbally, written and graphically.
  • Nice to have: Ability to develop or learn to develop necessary tools using an interpreted programming language (Ruby, Python, etc.)
