Reddit is seeking a talented and driven individual to join the People & Culture team as our (Sr) Compensation Manager! This role is going to be pivotal to our business’ success as we embark on doubling the size of our organization this year, and continue to focus on how we attract and retain top talent from a super competitive talent market.  This role will lead our compensation (cash + equity) strategy and drive it’s execution from soup to nuts. The Compensation Manager will work closely with the Head of HR and  Chief People Officer, our executive and finance teams, and our people leaders to reimagine how we think strategically about compensation at Reddit, using a data-first, human-centric approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with our executive, senior leadership, and People & Culture leadership teams in crafting unique, international compensation frameworks and strategies that will enable us to hire and retain top talent globally
  • Manage an effective, flexible, and scalable compensation program system designed to attract and retain top-tier talent in hyper-competitive markets
  • Own the compensation review process as part of the company’s overall Talent Review, inclusive of leadership training, systems readiness, and leadership coaching and support
  • Own the continuous development of Reddit’s equity compensation strategy and drive alignment with our Equity Administration team
  • Consult with people leaders on core compensation matters including: recommendations for job offers, pay parity analysis. job matching & leveling for new roles, and answering compensation related questions
  • Develop cost models and forecast analysis for a variety of global compensation programs and budgets
  • Continue to iterate on global compensation market positioning and salary ranges (for new and existing positions) to ensure market competitiveness and alignment with Reddit’s overall compensation strategy
  • Help build and lead executive compensation philosophy, management, and overall execution
  • Manage all third party compensation vendor relationships
  • Lead the way in helping to make Reddit a diverse, inclusive, performance-focused workplace by creating fair and balance compensation practices and helping us continue to drive pay parity across the organization

Qualifications:

  • Has been working in the compensation field for 8+ years directly, or 4+ years directly with additional years of relevant experience
  • Experience building compensation strategies for organizations with multiple locations worldwide
  • Experience in private and public companies is a plus
  • Experience with Comp Committee and Executive Compensation is a plus
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional partners
  • Is an active participant in the compensation network
  • Fluent in data-driven analysis with the ability to share information with a diverse set of customers, not just others that are analytically wired
  • Natural people person that enjoys building a collaborative and supportive team environment
  • Thrives in situations where you can diagnose challenges and problem-solve on a daily basis
  • Ability to articulately express your perspective in writing and in person
  • Exceptional project management skills and can effectively balance competing priorities
  • High level of discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive information and demonstrated ability to manage through ambiguity
