Overview

We are a fast-growing, mission-driven fintech company that provides quality financial services for people whose needs go unmet by traditional institutions. From protecting grandma’s money from scammers to providing supplemental financial tools that support veterans with disabilities, we work hard to increase independence and well-being for a wide-range of individuals.

It is an honor to wake up in the morning knowing that we have a profound impact on our customers’ lives, whether it’s our True Link Prepaid Visa Card saving a retiree from losing thousands of dollars of his savings to scams or our True Link investment advisory platform supporting a young woman with a disability to plan for her future while protecting her life-saving medical benefits.

We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager to help us scale our growth and ensure we’re delivering products and experiences that meet our customers’ needs and exceed their expectations.

Because our customers depend on our products for their immediate needs (groceries) and long-term needs (retirement investments), our team works to meet high standards of usability, security, and availability. We’re also growing the product, the scope, the team, and the customer base, and we need you to keep up with all of that while making sure we don’t sacrifice quality. If this excites you, we want you to apply.

What You’ll Do

  • Leverage market research, internal insights, customer analytics, and more to build a deep understanding of our customers – then turn those insights into action.
  • Advocate for our existing and prospective customers to create targeted messaging, improve the customer experience, and help shape the product roadmap.
  • Scope and execute marketing strategies to reach different customer segments.
  • Partner with analytics to track the right metrics and execute campaigns that drive engagement and conversion; identify opportunities for optimization of new and existing marketing efforts.
  • Develop content for digital and print marketing materials, customer emails, in-product messaging, and other customer communications.
  • Support investment marketing campaigns to help the client relations team educate and nurture prospects throughout the relationship-building process.
  • Work closely with a range of teams — Product, Engineering, Sales, Growth Operations, Investment – to identify high-priority growth opportunities and integrate insights into the full customer journey.
  • Manage cross-functional, complex projects and keep various workstreams on track.

Who You Are

  • Tangible experience developing marketing strategies that drive conversions and product usage
  • Deep empathy for customers and ability to adapt how you communicate to best reach and engage highly differentiated audiences
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills
  • Knowledge of what excellence looks like in all aspects of product marketing – from understanding customer needs and goals, to crafting compelling value propositions, to serving the customer across their entire life cycle
  • Ability to make decisions quickly and rigorously and seamlessly transition between different products and customer segments throughout the day
  • A collaborator at heart, and a love for figuring out how to best adapt your personal communication style to work effectively with others.
  • A balance of right brain, left brain: You’re extremely creative and articulate, and can connect data to insights and strategies.
  • You’re as motivated to execute a targeted marketing experiment as you are to create a multichannel strategy for connecting with a customer segment.
  • Nice to have: Experience in investment advisory, trust administration, or fintech and/or exposure to a key customer group (vulnerable older adults, people with disabilities, individuals in recovery)

Why You’ll Love Us

  • We’ve got the energy and passion of a startup combined with the professionalism of a financial services firm and the compassion of a mission-driven organization that truly cares about the people we serve.
  • We’re just getting started! With fifty million Americans in our addressable market, we are growing quickly into a large financial services company that will be developing new products you will help us shape and take to market.
  • We offer competitive wages, Health, Dental & Vision coverage, and an awesome vacation package.
  • Our customers are not only grateful for our services but are the absolute best. We have the privilege of providing financial protection for vulnerable members of society and partnering with expert service providers to do so. Our customers and partners love us, and we love them back. You can sleep soundly every night knowing you are doing a really wonderful thing by getting our services into more hands.
  • We treat one another like we treat our customers: with 100% respect and dignity. Diversity and inclusion are cultural values we take very seriously, and we welcome team members of all backgrounds and identities.
  • Our offices are dog friendly and filled with snacks, catered lunch, and a group of friendly, caring people. We’re happy to still be enjoying laughs with colleagues and appearances of furry friends over Zoom for now.
  • With offices across the country, we’re welcoming applicants who want to join our existing and future offices (in SF, Denver, Phoenix, NYC, and Kingston, NY) when it’s safe to work alongside each other again (and remote until then).
  • Want to work remote longer-term? We also have years of experience collaborating with our many team members who prefer to work from home, and welcome applicants from anywhere in the United States.

We are a mission-driven, venture-backed startup growing quickly into a large financial enterprise. We solve complex, life-changing problems for older adults, people with disabilities, and people recovering from addiction, all of whom are often neglected by the financial services industry.

We have offices in San Francisco, Denver, NYC, and Kingston NY, and a strong team of distributed team members across the US as well. This position will ideally be based in our San Francisco or New York City office (when our offices reopen; remote until then!). If you are a high-performing person who wants to join a diverse, inclusive team and use your skills to make a real impact in people’s lives, we invite you to apply to join our team.
