The Team

Our Finance & Analytics team transforms our strategic objectives into a useful plan with business intelligence, forecasting expertise and rigorous reporting. We take on impactful product and growth problems and provide high-quality financial analysis to enable the company and its stakeholders to achieve their business objectives. Our insights influence business performance, the experience of our users, and the direction of analytics at Tinder.

Data Science is a crucial part of Tinder’s cross-functional product development teams, helping to drive every stage of product development through analytic, statistical, and algorithmic expertise. As the Product Analytics Manager for the Growth team, you will be vital in shaping the product roadmap for user engagement (CRM, push notification, etc..), onboarding, activation and international growth. Our team focuses on uncovering critical insights that grow our business and you are on the front line of building better products and experiences for our customers.

Where you’ll work:

This role can be based remotely in the US or located in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Palo Alto, CA.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and develop a team of 2 highly skilled data scientists; support the delivery of high-quality and timely projects.
  • Be an authority with a point of view on how to grow Tinder’s business by using data to constantly challenge and reshape our understanding of customer behavior and business performance.
  • Develop data-driven business insights and work with the team and cross-functional partners to find opportunities, drive product strategy, planning, and execution.
  • Drive understanding of our users and their interaction with our products through in-depth analyses of user interaction and engagement.
  • Define how our teams measure success by developing Key Performance Indicators and other users/business metrics in close partnership with Product Management and other subject areas such as engineering and design.
  • Partner with our Talent Acquisition team to recruit, hire, and mentor extraordinary talent.

You’ll need:

  • Minimum 4 years of professional working experience in Product Analytics or equivalent.
  • Mentorship and associate development experience required, direct people management experience preferred.
  • Sophisticated SQL expertise.
  • Sophisticated experience with experimental design and statistical methods.
  • Ability and experience in extracting insights from data, and summarizing findings/takeaways.
  • Ability to understand and prioritize business goals and strategies
  • Ability to deliver on timelines and move quickly with cross-functional teams to implement decisions while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Economics, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields required.
