We’re looking for a Mobile Product Designer to help bring new features to our mobile app. With more than 1 million downloads on iOS and Android, our apps have become best-in-class, rating 4.5 stars and up and consistently featured in the Play and App Stores. Our iOS app won a Webby Award for Best Practice in 2018!

We need your help to explore what’s next and how our apps fit into the bigger picture of our multi-product platform.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Solving product problems for our two mobile apps: Reply and Buffer, with the support of the mobile product team. We focus on finding the best solutions for our users while they are scheduling, analyzing and replying to social media posts on the go.
  • Designing high-quality interfaces, interactions, and prototypes with a great attention to detail.
  • Working with the mobile engineering team to quickly iterate, collect, understand, and incorporate feedback throughout the design process.
  • Collaborating with product managers and other designers to refine our mobile vision conduct research and hear directly from our customers.
  • As a teammate at Buffer, you will agree to uphold our values and code of conduct.

Helpful Skills and Experience

  • A solid understanding of the iOS and Android design languages.
  • An online portfolio that shows your recent work.
  • Previous experience as a product designer, having successfully worked on an end-to-end product improvement or feature.
  • An understanding of what it means to ship an app and the ability to be involved in the complete process.
  • Passion for the problem-solving process and a willingness to reflect on the future of our mobile application ecosystem.
  • Collaborative spirit and focus on delivering the simplest and best solution for our users.
  • Clear communication skills to work closely with product managers and engineers to find the boundaries of our design problems, see them from multiple perspectives and advocate for the best balance and solutions.
