We’re growing our team and we’re currently looking for several Marketplace Operations Specialists.Our mission is to bridge the gap between e-commerce entrepreneurs around the world and Chinese suppliers and manufactures.
You will be part of the team responsible for running the day-to-day operations and turning Oberlo into the most trusted marketplace in the dropshipping world. Your role and tasks will expand and change as the company evolves and grows. This is a startup environment, and things move quickly. This is only the beginning for the Oberlo team in China. We are looking for someone who is not afraid to work hard to build a great foundation with the team, and who will grow with us for many years.
We’re hiring for multiple roles on the Marketplace Operations team:

Marketplace Operations Specialist (Supplier Onboarding and Education); Some of your responsibilities will include:

    • Delivering supplier on-boarding and operational training through both online and offline channels;
    • Developing topic and supplier-specific training materials;
    • Ensuring suppliers understand marketplace backend functions, marketplace supplier policy, and  supplier benefits;
    • Helping VIP suppliers with product listing;
    • Assisting the policy team to enhance marketplace policies and enforcement guidelines;
    • Translating marketplace policy/training material/enforcement guideline related documents;
    • Assisting team members on order follow up, supplier vetting, listing quality vetting, dispute investigation and arbitration.

Marketplace Operations Specialist (Risk Control); Some of your responsibilities will include:

    • Vetting and verifying suppliers’ qualification documents;
    • Creating and implementing supplier vetting process;
    • Analyzing feedback and ensuring suppliers provide comprehensive detailed information on every listing they upload;
    • Analyzing feedback in order to improve vetting process and listing quality policy;
    • Investigating disputes and communicating with suppliers to understand their behavior and improving dispute management policy;
    • Translating marketplace policy, training materials, and enforcement guidelines;
    • Assisting team members on order follow up, supplier vetting, listing quality vetting, dispute investigation and arbitration;

Requirements for the roles:

    • You have bachelor’s degree or higher;
    • Experience in cross-border e-commerce marketplace;
    • Project management experience and team collaboration skills;
    • Results-driven and able to work with cross-functional teams to achieve set goals;
    • Technical acumen and ability to manage multiple projects/tasks with composure;
    • Native Mandarin and fluent English;
    • Ability to work and thrive in an entrepreneurial and dynamic start-up environment;
    • Attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently;

Bonus experience:

    • Previous seller experience with different types of cross-border e-commerce marketplaces;
    • Previous experience delivering training;
    • Good understanding of different types of categories (Apparel, Jewellery, CE, Home, Outdoor, mom and baby);
