As Local Marketing Associate, you will be pivotal in driving our marketing efforts on a local level, helping to expand our brand’s presence and engagement across our global communities. Local marketing opportunities could include partnering with neighboring businesses, sponsoring organizations/clubs, holding/attending events, connecting with local government, scouting print opportunities and more. You will also act as the point of contact for our franchise operators ensuring seamless partnerships, rollouts, training, and optimization of performance across the portfolio.
*This is a part-time (20 hours/week), 3-month contract with potential to convert to full-time.
What You’ll Do:
- Responding to inbound local marketing opportunities to gather information and identify which are brand aligned
- Initiating partnerships with local businesses and community organizations to create mutually beneficial marketing campaigns and spread brand awareness near locations
- Coordinating and executing marketing strategies that align with both local and global brand objectives
- Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of local marketing campaigns and making data-driven recommendations for improvements
- Managing relationships with local media, vendors, and other partners to maximize marketing efforts
- Manage production of local collateral as needed
- Coordinating with franchise teams (internal and operators themselves) to ensure cohesion and optimization: create communication channels, disseminate relevant news, receive and address marketing requests from our franchise partners worldwide
- Maintain databases indicating status of participation in various marketing initiatives and launch timing/elements
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred
- The ideal candidate will have a passion for community engagement and a track record of successful local marketing initiatives
- Knowledge of marketing principles and techniques, with a focus on local and community-based marketing
- Proven experience in local marketing, with a strong understanding of community dynamics, local advertising channels, and varying demographics
- Experience in managing marketing campaigns across various platforms, including digital, email, print, and event marketing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with local partners and stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop unique and effective marketing strategies
- Familiarity with franchise operations and the ability to support franchise partners with their marketing needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated approach
- Must have an entrepreneurial and extroverted mindset
- Proficiency in using marketing tools and platforms to track and analyze campaign performance
- Ability to execute local partnerships, including potential travel for events; travel expenses covered
$25 – $30 an hour
