We’re Sandbox VR, and we’re the most advanced virtual reality experience in the world. Inside our rooms, we take you on thrilling adventures and transform you into new characters. Our experience is like the movies, except you’re actually with your friends inside the movie.

Our team is comprised of successful start-up veterans with deep experience in VR, gaming, technology and hospitality. We’re funded by leading global tech investors including Andreessen Horowitz and Alibaba.

Since we launched in 2017, we’re now live in 6 locations and 4 countries around the world (4.5 stars on Yelp, and the #1 Activity in Hong Kong and Singapore on TripAdvisor), and we’re quickly expanding.

We are now franchising our globally successful business with strong international partners. As our Head of Franchise Operations, you will be responsible for making sure we can scalably enter new franchising markets around the world, and ensuring all of our franchisee partners become successful operators and business owners.

Specifically in this role, you’ll be responsible for:

New Market Entry – the current focus of our franchising efforts is international, so you will be owning creating and executing our entry strategy into new markets for our franchise business. You will be responsible for the Franchise Disclosure Document in all of our new markets, and you will also work with our Head of Business Development to help source and onboard new qualified franchise partners.

Franchisee Partner Success – you will be responsible for ensuring we’re bringing high quality franchisee partners into our business, and that our partners are successful. This means you’ll be owning our comprehensive franchise operations blueprint in supporting our franchise partners through all aspects of their business, and you’ll also be working closely with our internal teams to ensure their businesses are successful.

Who are we looking for?

  • We’re looking for someone who has at least 4+ years of experience in franchise operations, with a proven track record of strategic operations work in a global franchise organization.
  • You should have a quantitative bent – you should know how to read a financial model, and take a metrics driven approach in your franchise operations management.You should be an exceptional communicator both written and orally, and you can distill complex ideas into simple language.
  • You may need to travel to other countries 20% of the time.
