We’re seeking a strong copywriter who’s excited about everything that has to do with words: creating a unique voice, turning the business strategy into telling the story of Talkdesk in our next stage of growth, and engaging our internal and external audiences throughout their experiences.

As Senior copywriter, you’ll report to the Director of Verbal Branding part of the Brand and Corporate Marketing to write and edit copy for a variety of projects, working closely with the accounts and design teams to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop messaging. Thorough research and/or interviews will be required to understand internal clients’, products/services, branding, and marketing goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing clear, fresh and error-free content for a variety of project (including print, web, mobile, video, and social media) that reflects the company’s voice
  • Collaborating with marketing departments to understand their message and target audience, brainstorm and develop the appropriate marketing materials
  • Research and understand the internal client’s needs and target audiences, through online searches, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetings
  • Proposing copy concepts in an engaging way and carrying out projects once they are approved, including copy editing to meeting their content expectations
  • Interpreting creative direction and technical information, including product features and launches, and turning them into persuasive copy concepts
  • Include keywords naturally for any assets and even more for paid search activity
  • Stay updated on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging and ensure we maintain a cohesive brand voice and style
  • Proofread written work and online content

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • 8+ years of experience in branding, advertising, journalism or related field either client or agency-side with a strong track record
  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree a plus
  • English native speaker
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with demonstrated experience in conceptual writing in both corporate and lead generation marketing and advertising including Brand messaging, Web, product, social and search media and promotional copy
  • Ability to think strategically and conceptualize creatively
  • Experience working cross-functionally within a SaaS environment with product marketing, industry strategy and industry marketing, demand generation, PR, and creative agencies
  • Results-oriented with the ability to prioritize, drive, and achieve results while maintaining flexibility to respond to changing demands
  • Ability to optimize based on results as measured on website traffic, engagement through dwell time, lead generation, and other key metrics.
  • Experience working at a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Naming experience a plus
  • Knowledge of foreign languages and trademarks is a plus
  • Industry knowledge of contact centers, customer experience, and CRM a plus
