TaxJar is the leading technology solution for busy eCommerce sellers to manage sales tax and we’re on a mission to make eCommerce easier for everyone. We’re a 100% remote team, and extremely passionate about using technology to build the gold standard of sales tax solutions.

The TaxJar marketing team’s goal is clear: get more eCommerce businesses in the US to experience TaxJar for managing their sales tax needs. Help show those businesses the tremendous value in cost and time-savings in choosing to fully automate their sales tax needs.Our team is small, but we have a huge impact on the business. We work very closely with sales, success, product development, and content teams in order to deliver on these goals.

We’re looking for someone that moves fast, thrives amidst change, and is a solid team player. We’ll dig into opportunities both traditional and new, but there will be clear priorities to stay focused to get the most important stuff done first.

REQUIREMENTS

If that sounds like you, here’s what you’ll be working on:

  • Develop and manage marketing communications projects from concept, execution to delivery
  • Own all customer communication with potential and current customers via social media, message boards, & forums
  • Develop social reporting to keep tabs on how we’re doing across Facebook, Reddit, Quora, etc
  • Administer, engage and own our Net Promoter Survey (NPS) and report across company-wide NPS goals
  • You’re fanatical about social proof. You can make in impact on the quantity of 3rd party quality reviews for TaxJar (G2 Crowd, Capterra, Amazon Solutions Network, Shopify or Magento app stores, etc)
  • Work collaboratively with our content team to write case studies sourced from NPS leads
  • Willingness to occasionally travel and attend in-person tradeshow and live events with customers
  • Bring a creative and open mind to the team that is ready to take on and test new opportunities as we discover them. If you have a great idea, let’s hear it and go design a test around it!

You’re familiar with these tools and concepts

  • Drip.co, Zapier, Canva, HelpScout, Google Analytics, Woopra
  • Facebook Marketing Tools
  • NPS tools like promoter.io
  • Proficient in microsoft office/Google Docs
  • Can create and manipulate spreadsheets/large sets of data with pivot tables and vlookups

Education:

  • 2-3+ years in a marketing related field *required*
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, business or a related field
  • Candidates lacking a degree but that can demonstrate a successful track record of professional experience will also be considered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background and knowledge in eCommerce market a big plus
  • Small business owner experience or previous history of selling products on a website or marketplace (Amazon, eBay, etc)
  • You’ve filed a sales tax return before
