The Partnerships team accelerates the growth and innovation of Varo’s products by creating new business, marketplace, and distribution opportunities through partnerships. Varo is a bank for all, and strategic partnership deals push this mission forward. The Partnerships team also manages Varo’s high-touch, high-potential, and high-impact deals with external partners, aligning on shared objectives and making decisions that ultimately serve our customers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Advance Varo’s social impact and mission by leading and managing key partnerships that drive growth and customer acquisition
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, particularly in product, lending, marketing, operations, finance, compliance, and legal, etc.
  • Set goals and work backwards to develop the plan that will enable the goals to be achieved
  • Build processes and streamline efforts to make internal and external operations smooth and efficient
  • Document work and efforts to share best practices with stakeholders
  • Drive toward resolution and proactively works to solve problems in a way that benefits partners and solves critical business objectives

Required skills and experiences:

  • 7+ years of experience in program management, partnerships, partner management, or comparable roles (affiliate marketing experience preferred)
  • Experience managing and negotiating with partners to create successful relationships and business outcomes
  • Proven experience with technology business development and growth, and experience with managing large, strategic partners
  • Ability to partner with leadership to develop strategic perspectives that drive key decisions and set the future direction of Varo’s growth through partnerships
  • Ability to provide insightful, data-driven recommendations to partners and cross-functional stakeholders that manage deals to surpass goals and operating performance
  • Experience managing multiple internal and partner-facing time-sensitive work streams at the same time
  • BA/BS degree required, Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree is a plus
